Azzurro HD operates The Meet-Me Point for DigitalSM – the first all-digital, HD-enabled aggregation and switching facility for video content in the USA. Located in The Hub at 32 Avenue of the Americas in New York City, the Azzurro HD facility provides all-digital transport and switching, with a clear forward path to serve the growing need for HD and 3D transport.
The All-Digital, All-HD Advantage
HD has become the new transmission standard because of enthusiastic consumer adoption and the attractive economics of fiber. Whether you need long-haul transport and switching of ASI-encoded video, or local-loop transfer of uncompressed HD or SDI, Azzurro HD’s self-sensing router can handle it all. And Azzurro HD's end-to-end HD digital infrastructure – with no behind-the-scenes analog-to-digital conversion – ensures that your content reaches its destination exactly as it should be.
Every transmission, whether uncompressed or encoded, is monitored by our trained technical staff, who watch video monitors and signal analyzers 24x7. When issues arise, they work fast and effectively to get them resolved.
The Meet-Me Point
Azzurro HD operates in the Tier 1, telco-grade AT&T Building, which provides access control, uninterruptible power, heavy-duty HVAC and access to fiber POPs of all the major providers of digital transport. All customer equipment onsite is protected in locked cages. A broad and growing range of top-tier media companies maintain ports on our switch, and Azzurro HD has dedicated circuits over its own network to such key locations as the New Meadowlands stadium, the Timex Performance Center (NY Giants training facility) and the New York Stock Exchange.
